1. What was the main reason why you decided to create your blog?
   Let me see.. I actually started this blog to make sure I make use of my ever growing polish collection. When I started I think I only had about 30 polishes. I dare not count how mani I have now!!
2. What type of music do you like to listen to?
   I listen to all sorts of music! From Classical music to Opera to Musical music. Of course there is also R&B and Pop!
3. Who would you say is your Doppelgänger (famous person/icon that looks most like you)?
   I don’t think I have a Doppelgänger. 😦
4. Pick 3 things that you are not able to live without.
   My family, my phone and everything nail polish realted! 😛
5. What is the strangest food (or food combination) you have ever tasted?
   I don’t know. A burger with a pork patty with bacon, peanut butter and banana?
6. Have you ever won a competition, and if so, what was it for?
   Er. I think I won random draws before. But other than that I don’t generally take part in competitions.
7. Which animal would you say best represents you?
   Tiger? Because I can be cute and quiet and kinda lazy when left alone but I also can be a PITA when provoked 😀
8. If you were a colour, which one would you be?
   Judging from my clothes: Black
   Judging from my polish stash: Beige
9. Do you have a signature style (or mannerism, phrase etc), and if so, what is it?
   My signature style would be the way I dress – ultimate casual! I am forever in shorts (or jeans), a comfy top and flip flops!
10. Blonde/Brunette/Black/Red?
    I’m a brunette!
11. Name 5 things that make you smile.
    Family, bed, funny antics of my pet dogs, boyfriend and my nail polish collection!

Birthday Haul

I got myself some pretty polishes for myself this month! After the No-Buy in October, I decided to go slow with the buying. It lasted OK until Black Friday came along! LOL. But those polishes are going to be considered my Christmas presents to myself so I guess it’s OK. Right? 😛

First up, I got myself a Deborah Lippmann Run the World (Girls) set! I haven’t gone crazy and splurged that much on polishes, I only got his because it was on SALE! Back in September, I bought a Groupon which gave me a chance to grab this at RM107 instead of RM287! That is a whooping 63% off!

The set came just in time for my birthday but it wasn’t perfect, can you see it in the photo above? How about in the photo below?

The pink polish (I Kissed a Girl) was missing 😦

I contacted the seller and they said it was a manufacturers defect and they sent me Pink Blush as a replacement. Not to bad I guess.

Next up I have 2 essence color3 polishes i picked up at a temporary essence stand in the maill. The colors I picked was 06 Ticket to the Show and 01 Midnight Date.

Last but not least I picked up a few polishes from the new OPI holiday collection! I was tempted to buy more than this but I told myself to be good and only picked up Skyfall and Goldeneye.

Wait a minute! I picked up 9 polishes! That’s not exactly a few. I think my limit was 10 polishes this month. LOL! Not so good afterall I guess.

Happy Movember!

Oops! I forgot to schedule this post! Better late than never right?

 

This is my manicure dedicated to the Movember movement where men grow their moustache with the aim to raise fund and awareness for men’s health issues. If I am not mistaken the main research right now is the research for prostate cancer. More on Movember and it’s causes HERE.

My boyfriend actually decided to not shave for Movember this year. Honestly, although I do support this cause, I am glad that November is almost over and he can finally shave again! I am just sooo not use to him with a moustache!

I used one of my older polishes – e.l.f Sand as the base polish and added a mo’ on my accent nail with none other than my new liner I purchase not long ago. 😛

OPI Dulce de Leche

Recently, I have been arranging my polishes by brand and then by color. And guess what – I have much

more nudes than any other color! But looking through my blog I don’t think I have posted much nude manicures!

Let me rectify that with this gorgeous nude from OPI – Dulce de Leche. Dulce de Leche literally traslates to ‘Candy of Milk’. I looked it up on Wiki and it sounds awfully like Toffee. I wonder if it’s the same thing.. Hmm..

ANYWAYS, back to the polish.

Dulce de Leche is a nice dusty pinkish brown (makes sense?) which is very office friendly. It applied like a dream in 2 coats. I did an accent nail with this metallic pink polish from Skin Food it just says Pedicure Sparkle #01. This too applied easily but I needed 3 thin coats to cover up any VNL.

I wonder.. Which colors are your favorite and which colors do you have most in your stash? Are they the same color or totally different?

I haven’t seen snow before. I really really want to say snow but I’ll have to go with sun!

Being persistent! Although this little trait can be really annoying. I know I am sometimes. LOL
4. Which is your favorite genre of movies? (Comedy/Romance/Suspense/Action/Horror)

I would definitely have to go with comedy! I like to watch something really light and funny to unwind after a long day.

5. If given a chance to skip work or school for a day, how would you spend the entire day?

Hmm.. I would definitely sleep in! Probably change my manicure and go (window) shopping for a bit 🙂

6. Which animal would you want to be? Why?

Errr… I would like to be a….tiger just because it’s my Chinese horoscope. And I like big cats!

7. What was your favorite food when you were a child?

Chocolates!! It still is now!

8. What chore do you absolutely hate doing?

Scrubbing the bathroom. My bathroom is small but I take up to an hour cleaning it most times 😦
9. What is your favorite candy bar?

Aero! which is similar to Cadbury Mint Bubbly

10. Is there one thing you still won’t tell your parents you have done?

Shhhhh.. It’s a secret!

11. How would your friend describe you to someone who has never seen you?
